MeeTeer

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

This policy explains what MeeTeer ("we") collects and why. MeeTeer is operated by Reza Mesgar, Montréal, Québec, Canada. Questions: support@meeteer.com.

What we collect

How we use it

Only to run the app: showing the map, delivering messages and notifications, keeping your account secure.

Data travels between the app and our server over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The text of messages and notifications is stored encrypted on our server, and so are our database backups. This is not end-to-end encryption: reported messages can be read when we review a report.

MeeTeer does not show ads today. If we add local offers later, they will be selected on your device, and it will be your choice to see them. We will update this policy first.

Who can see what

Other people can see your username and photo, and what you post in spaces and rooms. Private spaces and rooms show their content to members only. Confessions do not show your name to other users.

Services we use

We use only providers that commit to protecting your data to the same standard as this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. Backups may keep deleted data for a limited time.

Deleting your account

Delete your account in the app under Settings, or see this page. We remove your email, name, photo, password, push tokens, sessions, friends and memberships. Your posts, comments and messages stay, shown as "Deleted user", so conversations remain readable. Contact us to ask for their removal.

Person in charge of privacy

Reza Mesgar is responsible for protecting personal information. Contact: support@meeteer.com.

Your choices and rights

You can turn off location and notifications in your phone's settings. You can ask for access to your data, or to correct or delete it, at support@meeteer.com.

Children

MeeTeer is not for children under 16.

Changes

We will update this page if this policy changes.
